MAROC : News from IRT Tangier

IRT have brought in former ASS (Sale) coach Said Bouzidi and have revamped almost their entire roster. They also hired former IRT playmaker Aziz Benhaddou as an assistant coach, while national coach Khalil Rouas was appointed Technical Director.
Seven changes have been made from last season's roster including the come back of experienced guard Marouane Kechrid and powerfull 2.06m center Papis Diouf.
The late and last arrival to the white and blue roster is the national team playmaker Mustapha Khalfi who has signed the biggest contract in the history of Moroccan's basketball making him Morocco's highest paid basketball player, earning a reported 160000 euros over four years.
At 33, the captain Ahmed Kajaj decided to stay one more year. He is the oldest member of the squad but he is one of the Moroccan league's toughest competitors and will be expected to give stability. His shooting accuracy, allied with the good Malian rebounder Camara, will play a vital role in IRT's fortunes.
